Wondering what’s inside that Old El Paso box?  The coupon is for $4 off any package of ground beef, ground chicken, or boneless skinless chicken – AHA!  and you thought my love affair with FREE chicken had ended?  Not so!  And this one is part of a saving circle that will continue until December 14, 2012.  Great!

I started by redeeming a FPC (free product coupon) for the El Paso taco kit that was available on the Life Made Delicious facebook page a few weeks ago.  The $4 OFF coupon is printed inside the box, so be sure to cut it out before tucking it into your pantry.  No sizes are specified for the beef/chicken packages, so I’m confident that I’ll be able to get more FREE chicken!  And with any luck, my next coupon to SAVE $1 (still available) on the next El Paso Kit will arrive by the end of the week – they’re on sale at Walmart for $3.47 and I’ll get another $4 OFF coupon on the next one with having just paid $2.47.   I’ll continue the cycle for a while, I suspect, redeeming the coupons when I can find a good price on Old El Paso and chicken breasts at the same time.   We won’t likely use all of the taco kits for “tacos” but will use the various ingredients in taco salads, refried beans, and 7 layer dip.

I still have a few $3 OFF ground beef coupons from the Hamburger Helper boxes that came out in the spring of 2012.  They’re a similar cycle where you have to buy the first box, then clip the coupon and redeem it for a combined purchase of another box of Hamburger Helper and ground beef.  We got several pounds of Canadian ground beef out of that deal, and ended up using the noodles for soups and casseroles (tossed the seasoning – too salty for our taste).    We paid on average $1.60 for the Hamburger Helper boxes, so in effect, got $1.40 off of ground beef each time.  The coupons expire October 31, 2012 so be sure to check your pantry to see if any are hidden there!

So while Tacos and Hamburger Helper aren’t traditionally meals that we eat often in our home, buying these products and using the ingredients in other ways is a great way to get your hands on someCanadian Beef  (and CHICKEN!) coupons!

Happy Couponing!
