tps March 21 IGA QCEven though I live in Ontario, I can see the Gatineau Hills in Quebec from my patio door and can easily pop across the river to run errands (although at $9 each way for the 3 minute ferry, I’ve taken to driving out of my get to a bridge!).  I love that the flyer cycle starts on Thursdays (a full day earlier than most Ontario stores) and enjoy exploring new stores and products on my monthly “tear pad tour”!

One of my favourite haunts for finding tear pads is the IGA store on Montee Paiement.  It’s a beautiful store inside and the Evil Dr. Tear-Pad-Take’em-All doesn’t seem to bother with it!  The prices are a bit high unless there’s a sale – perhaps that’s why many of the tear pads seem to go untouched by fellow customers.  The tear pad coupons are all generic though and can be used at any store in Canada (provided the cashier is comfortable with French language coupons, I suppose), so I always think it’s worth it to tuck one into my coupon binder in case the item goes on sale elsewhere or is featured with a rebate on CheckOut 51.   I brought these ones home today:

  • BlueWater $1 OFF any product 240g or more (exp June 30, 2013)
  • Lafleur $.50 OFF any Lafleur Authentique product (exp Sept 30, 2013)
  • St. Hubert $.40 OFF any La Soupe (exp June 30, 2013)
  • Clover Leaf $1 OFF any 142g Gourmet Tuna in Olive Oil (exp Sept 30, 2013)
  • Olympic $.50 OFF any Olympic Biologique product (exp Dec 31, 2013)squishems coupons

While there, I stocked up on Dole Squish’ems which were on sale 2/$5.  I haven’t seen any of the specially marked packages with coupons in Ontario as of late so was happy to see these still have the $3 in coupons on the back.  I’d like to get at least a few more boxes of Dole Fruit Bowls when they go on sale to get us through the end of the school year for those mornings when we don’t have 2 pieces of fresh fruit for each of the kids’ lunch boxes.  (Is it just me, or are kiwis taking weeks longer than usual to ripen?  And are bananas spoiling the minute we leave the store?  Any tips to share?)

Happy Couponing!
